A bus service does run from Delhi to Haridwar. It's a convenient option if the train is heavily booked, which is often the case. The buses depart from in front of Kashmere Gate bus terminal. There are a couple of morning departures (leaving around 10-11 a.m.), but most are overnight. Travel time is usually six to seven hours, with one stop for lunch or dinner.
