There's no shortage of luxury hotels in Bangalore, and they're amongst India's finest too. Most Bangalore luxury hotels have spacious grounds and marvelous architecture. Here are the five of the best places to have a luxurious stay in Bangalore.
1. Taj West End
2. ITC Windsor
3. ITC Royal Gardenia
Located near Cubbon Park, the ITC Royal Gardenia is the newest hotel in Bangalore, and it's easily the swankiest that the city has to offer. Where else can you find a hotel with a helipad, and India's largest suite with its own swimming pool! You can even transfer to the hotel from the new Bangalore airport by helicopter. The hotel's environmentally friendly practices are commendable as well. Another plus: the ITC Royal Gardenia has a large Kaya Kalp spa, which maintains the standards of the original one at the ITC Mughal in Agra. The published rates start from $500 per night for a double, but significant discounts are available and you should be able to pick up a room for around $350 per night.
4. The Oberoi
If location is important to you, you'll love the fact that the Oberoi hotel is conveniently situated on MG Road, right amidst the city's action. Another selling point is that all of the hotel's room have private balconies which overlook gardens or swimming pool. The staff is helpful and friendly, and the food excellent. There's not much else to say really! Expect to pay $270 per night upwards for a double room, including tax.
5. Leela Palace
As its name suggests, the Leela Palace has been built to give the feeling of staying in a palace. The hotel's architecture is spectacular, with inspiration drawn from the Royal Palace of Mysore and the palaces of Vijayanagar Empire. Set on nine acres of landscaped grounds, it's like an oasis in Bangalore. However, the big drawback of this hotel is the location. It's not at all central. What's not to be overlooked though, is that the Leela Palace is home to the opulent and world renowned Jamavar restaurant. Expect to pay around $300 per night, for a double room including tax.
