If you're transiting through any of the major airports in India, it's likely that you'll need somewhere to freshen up and rest. Some airports have more options than others. Discover what they are in this guide to India airport hotels.
Bangalore
Unfortunately, with the new Bangalore airport being located in a remote area, there aren't many options for transiting passengers who want to stay near the airport. New branded hotels are being built to meet demand, but these will take a while to be completed.
Chennai
Chennai airport has retiring rooms for passengers who want to rest between flights. However, they're in high demand and are usually full. As an alternative, there are a number of hotels near Chennai airport that cater to transit passengers, with options for all budgets.
Delhi
Traditionally, there haven't been many quality options as far as New Delhi airport hotels are concerned. However, the revamping of Delhi airport and opening of the new terminal T3 is set to bring a number of reputable hotel brands to the airport. Most won't commence operating until 2012 or 2013 though. Until then, passengers will need to make do with existing budget hotels. Most are located around National Highway 8, which runs alongside the airport, in the Mahipalpur area.
Hyderabad
Similar to the new Bangalore airport, the new Hyderabad airport's remote location means that there aren't many hotels nearby. There are a couple of appealing options though.
