The Tamara, which began operating around the middle of the year, is a remote scenic hideaway with 30 luxury cottages made almost entirely out of wood and sitting on stilts. A stream runs right through the restaurant.
Earlier this month, the Vivanta by Taj Madikeri formally opened to much acclaim. Guests have been praising its architecture, which offers captivating panoramic views of rainforest and paddy fields from every room. The villas even have private indoor pools and retractable sunroofs!
