In the lead up to Diwali, last week I managed to fit in a tour of three of Mumbai's most famous markets -- Crawford Market, Mangaldas Market, and Zaveri Bazaar. Diwali is a particularly good time of year to go wandering through the markets, as there are so many eye catching decorations on display. Zaveri Bazaar really comes alive on Dhanteras (the first day of Diwali) when people flock there to buy gold.

This evening, I also dropped by my local market to pick up some Diwali decorations. It was so beautifully lit up, I couldn't resist taking these photos.
