Today marks the start of the 2012 Ganesh Chaturthi festival in India. The festival is most widely celebrated in the states of Maharashtra, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
This is a photo of the beautiful Ganpati in my apartment building in Mumbai. He'll stay with us for five days, before going for visarjan (immersion) on September 23, 2012 at a nearby lake.
