If you're a creative type, then there's one more good reason to stay at Gurgaon's much loved bed and breakfast, Cinnamon Stays. After a few month's break, their in-house creative design studio is back up and running
Called Tikdam, it specializes in funky hand painted designs. Currently one of their most popular items is a hand painted diary, from the original Bollywood movie Don. You can take a look on the Tikdam facebook page.
The creative influence at Cinnamon Stays is apparent in all the guest rooms, and is indeed what sets it apart from other homestays. Each room has its own distinct theme and the walls are adorned with unique artwork.
As the owners say:
"Cinnamon rooms are not just about clean beds and good service, our effort is to bring out your bottled up creativity and share it with the world".
Cinnamon Stays is located in a quiet gated community in Gurgaon, around an hour from Delhi by Metro. Rooms cost 3,800 rupees a night with breakfast included, and there are discounts for stays of more than a week. More information is available on the Cinnamon Stays website.
