The Durga Puja festival is still more than a month away in Kolkata, however anticipation is already building. Durga Puja pandals have started making their plans known to attract the crowds.
A couple of days ago, the organizers of Salt Lake's FD Block Puja announced that they will have the tallest idol of the Goddess in the city this year. Apparently it will stand 48 feet high.
Ekdalia Evergreen, in south Kolkata's Gariahat area, is handing the design and decoration of its puja pandal over to world famous German artist Gregor Schneider for an international touch.
