Treehouse.
Green Magic Nature Resort.
The Green Magic Nature Resort in the Wayanad district of Kerala was recently mentioned in Lonely Planet's list of Top 10 Eco Lodges around the world. What's so special about it? Tree houses!
If you've wondered what it would be like to live in a tree, this is your chance. However, it's more about the experience than comfort. The cost of a night in one of these tree houses would also get you a room in a luxury hotel in India. How much is it? Around 12,000 rupees or $270 a night, including all meals from a set menu.
Only those (ideally couples) who really want to "get away from it all" should consider staying there. There's no hot water, no electricity, and no cell phone coverage. Western style bathrooms are however provided in the tree houses. And don't worry, you don't have to climb the tree to get up there, there's a pulley style lift as well. When you're not relaxing 80 feet up amongst nature, there are a number of walking trails to explore.
