The holy Muslim month of Ramadan runs for another two weeks, which is plenty of time to make the most of the delicious food that the festival is renowned for in Mumbai.
If you're an adventurous eater who doesn't mind street food, make sure you get yourself down to Mohammad Ali Road in south Mumbai for all-night-long feasting. This road and the area surrounding Bheni Bazaar-Minara Masjid comes alive as soon as namaaz is over, with crowds, fairy lights, and the tantalizing smell of spices and roasting chicken tikka.
Those who are concerned about getting ill from eating on the streets, rest assured the food is prepared fresh. Come armed with mineral water, sanitizer, and tissue paper for extra assurance.
