Photo of the Week - Ellora Caves Kailasa Temple

This large stone elephant is one of two in the Kailasa Temple, at the Ellora Caves in Maharastra.
The Ellora and Ajanta caves are a deservedly popular India tourist attraction. As well as being one of India's top historical places, they're a remarkable architectural feat. All of them have been hand carved out of stone! The detail and amount of work is incredible.

What would be my port of entry into India if I wanted to go to Ellora Caves ? Would it be Bombay ?
What should be the port of entry for me in India to view these caves .. ? Bombay ?
Yes, Bombay then a train to Aurangabad (for Ellora Caves) or Jalgaon (for Ajanta Caves).
Thanks GoIndia. Do you know any good ticketing agens that do good deals to India ? I saw some names like namrada.com and bharattickets.com , myindiatickets.com and they seem to be offering good prices. Is that the way to go ?
