There's no doubt that India, with its overwhelming jumble of sights, sounds and smells, leaves an indefinable impression on one's mind. The crazy traffic, strange signs, and wandering cows are just some of the things that come to mind when I think of India.

I recently discovered a t-shirt label that does a great job of capturing the essence of India with its unique designs. Named Chor Bazaar, after Mumbai's famous Chor Bazaar, the company aims to evoke memories of experiencing India -- not only the one that exists today, but the India of past generations as well.

I thought I'd make mention of the designs because they're actually quite clever, and even enlightening. Have you ever wondered what the Hindi writing found on the back of trucks all over India means? Check out the "Muh Kala" t-shirt. It's actually a curse implying "back off or black smoke in your face".

The Psychology of Traffic design is especially clever. Representing India's chaotic traffic, it features an inkblot made up of all the different types of vehicles that fill India's roads -- including auto rickshaws, tractors, cows, and the camel cart!
