Centaur Hotel, Delhi. Nice on the outside but not the inside.

Ever booked a hotel because it looked appealing on its website, only to be horribly disappointed when you checked in? Sadly, this is a common problem in India, where dirty rooms and poor customer service are rife.
Fortunately though, choosing a hotel has become a lot less hit and miss nowadays, thanks to the hotel reviews on Internet travel sites. TripAdvisor, a leading travel advisory website, has put together a list of the 10 dirtiest hotels in India based on reviews from its members. Not surprisingly, eight of these hotels are located in Delhi. Here are the offenders:
- Centaur Airport Hotel, Delhi
- Hotel Regent Continental, Delhi
- Ashok Hotel, Delhi
- Marina Hotel, Delhi
- Jupiter Spa & Resort, Goa
- Ajanta Hotel, Delhi
- The Connaught, Delhi
- Hotel Janpath Ashok, Delhi
- Hotel Welcome Palace, Delhi
- Hotel Yamuna View, Agra
Have you stayed at any of these hotels? I'd love to hear your comments.

Hey wanna to say that I stayed at Ajanta hotel and our stay was so memorable. I did not find any dirty thing over there. My room was big spacious with hot and cold water. I was shocked to see the list. I surely come back to this property.
Hi Raja, thanks so much for your comment. It’s always good to get another perspective. I intend to introduce a form soon that will enable people to submit their own hotel and restaurant reviews to this site. The intention is to help readers make good decisions about where to stay and eat!
