The non-profit New7Wonders Foundation, which concluded its hugely successful campaign for The Official New Seven Wonders of the World in 2007 (India's Taj Mahal was named as one of them), is now running a campaign to find the New7Wonders of Nature.
The campaign aims to uncover and create awareness about the incredible variety and beauty of the world's nature. Nominations and votes are being accepted up until December 31, 2008, to select one site from each country to enter the finals. So far, four places in India are in the running. These are:
- Kaziranga National Park
- Valley of Flowers National Park
- Western Ghat Mountains
- Lonar Crater and Lake
India has so many other incredible natural sites that are also worthy of nomination, such as the Sundarbans National Park. What do you think? Are there any sites that you feel should be included?
