Air Deccan Now Known as Kingfisher Red

Air Deccan, which started out in 2003 as India's first low cost airline, is now known as Kingfisher Red. This follows the airline's merger with Kingfisher Airlines early in 2008.
Since being taken over, the level of service provided by the no-frills airline has greatly improved. It now accepts international credit cards for bookings, seat numbers are allocated, and staff are more committed and friendly. However, the airline's 15 kilogram limit for checked in baggage remains, and flight delays are still a common occurrence. Many passengers also find the lack of leg room between seats a problem.
