Goa has become an extremely popular destination for weddings. The trend started around 8 years ago and now most wedding planners organize at least 50 weddings a year for foreigners in Goa -- which is quite a lot, considering the main tourist season runs for less than six months.

The options for getting married in Goa are endless and include beaches, hilltops, and elephants. However, the legal formalities are onerous, and many people prefer to take care of that side of things in their own country first and simply have a sentimental ceremony in India.
